Monday, July 23 to Friday, July 27, 10:00 to 4:00 daily (Spots still available!)

Teen Writing Programs and Young Writers’ Programs are held each summer throughout the province. They offer up to 14 youth in each location the opportunity to develop their creative writing skills with a professional writer as instructor. The workshops are held in partnership with local libraries and are offered free of charge to participants.
For teen programs, applicants should be between 14 – 18 years old at the time of the program they intend to apply for.
Instructor: Evonne Garnett
Evonne Garnett lives in Prince Albert, teaches Creative Writing at one of the high schools there, and, when it’s offered, at the Polytechnic Institute as well. She has participated in Sage Hill’s Summer Writing Program and is still in awe of that experience. She was over the moon in 2013 when she was long-listed for CBC Writes. She is published in small ways here and there, is working on a chapter for a feminist textbook to be published in the next year, and is a involved in the local writing community. She is charmed by cats, gardens, books of all kinds, traveling experiences, dark chocolate, and warm conversation, always.
