Public Computers and WiFi

Here at the library, we understand that information comes from more places than just books, especially in our technologically-driven world today!  We want you to be able to connect to information in a digital, current, and global setting.  For this reason, we have computers and wireless Internet set up for public use.

  • 10 computer stations with Internet access
  • 3 computers with access to the online catalogue only
  • 1 computer with Open Office (word processing software)
  • 1 computer with microfilm reading capabilities

To access the Internet on our computer stations, you have to have an active library barcode and a PIN.  You’ll be prompted to put in your information, and from there you’re free to surf the net!  If you do not have, or have forgotten your PIN number please visit the Circulation Desk or the Information Desk to set up a new one. There is a one-hour time limit.

To access our wireless Internet, just select the JMCPL network.  A message will appear asking if you accept our terms and conditions.  Once you’ve read them, click on the “I Accept” button and you’ll be automatically connected.

Please note that when using the computers and/or the Internet at the library, you must adhere to our Information Technology policies.
