Dear John M. Cuelenaere Public Library Users,
Re-paving of the parking lot West of the library began in October, however during the process the work crews noticed several spots that were too soft to put asphalt on. These soft spots need to be properly repaired before paving can continue. Unfortunately, due to the snow and rain we experienced in October the ground has become too saturated with moisture to continue work. Work will resume next May after the ground thaws.
The west most side of the parking lot will remain barricaded until the end of November, or until the ground freezes solid. Once the ground is frozen the barricades will be removed and there will once again be access to those stalls. In April the barricades will go back up, as the ground will once again become too soft for cars to drive on safely.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay and would like to direct patrons to the free street parking one block North and East of the building.
