Tracy Edwards is a young woman working as a cook on charter boats. Although underappreciated and overworked, the young woman dreamed of commanding her own vessel. Through hard work and determination, she is able to become skipper of her own boat. But, being a female skipper wasn't Edwards only claim to fame. The young woman also staffed an entirely female crew. Shortly after coming together, the female skipper and her all women staff entered the 1989 Whitbread Round World Race.
