There are over 100 language to choose from, including aboriginal languages such as, Cree, Dene, Dakota, and Ojibwe. The list of available languages keeps growing and there are even programs for English as Second Language learners! For a list of available language please click here.

To get started on your internet browser or mobile device all you need is a library card and PIN, which you can get from our friendly Circulation Services staff members. Go to the Databases tab at the top of the main page and scroll down until you find Transparent Language Online. Click the link, log in with your library card number and PIN, then create your own personal account to start learning! Transparent Language will keep track of your progress for you, help you build your core vocabulary, and teach you grammar for any of the languages you choose! Lessons cover all four language learning skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
